What we do

Bathrooms, explained properly.

What it is

A full bathroom renovation covers strip-out, first-fix plumbing, first-fix electrics, plastering, tiling, second-fix plumbing, sanitaryware installation, sealing and final checks, delivered as a single managed project rather than a chain of separate trades.

Who it's for

Homeowners in Oxfordshire who want their bathroom done properly by a single accountable team, not one plumber pointing at the tiler pointing at the electrician when something goes wrong.

When you need it

When the layout no longer works for the household, when the suite is dated, when there's persistent leaking or damp behind the tiles, when you want to add value ahead of a sale, or when you're combining bathrooms during an extension.

Why a qualified team matters

A bathroom is the highest-density trade zone in any home: plumbing, waste, electrics, tiling and finishing all landing on one small footprint. Managed by one team, it takes 2–3 weeks and comes in on budget. Managed by three separate trades, it drifts, blames and overruns.

What happens if it's left

The cost of ignoring it.

Bathroom projects go wrong for one reason above all others: nobody is genuinely in charge. Everyone points at everyone else when the tap doesn't line up with the tile.

Multiple trades, no accountability

Separately booked plumber, tiler and electrician means you're the project manager, with none of the tools.

Drift on cost and time

Every 'small extra' from a separate trade adds days and cost. Fixed-price scope is what stops the drift.

Hidden water damage

Silicone-and-hope tiling over a leaking waste is a classic short-cut. Six months later the wall is soft and you're redoing it.

Non-compliant electrics

Bathroom electrics have zone rules (Part P). A general handyman fitting an extractor or shaver socket in the wrong zone is a certificate you'll fail on selling the house.

Common mistakes we see

  • Buying the suite from a showroom before checking it fits the room and pipework
  • Choosing large-format tiles on wonky Cotswold walls with no plastering allowance
  • Skipping the pre-visit and hoping the plumber and tiler will 'sort it on the day'
  • Booking the cheapest fitter and buying the cheapest waste, leaks always start there
  • Not planning shower valve reach against the tile grid

Benefits

What you actually get.

One accountable team

Plumbing, tiling, electrics, plastering, one company, one contact, one fixed price.

Fixed price upfront

No 'while I'm here' extras. If genuine unknowns appear during strip-out, we discuss and agree before doing anything.

Free pre-visit

Real dimensions, real waste positions, real pressure test, before the quote. That's why fixed pricing actually holds.

Faster than sub-contracting

A managed job typically completes in 2–3 weeks; the same job across separate trades routinely takes 6–8.

Klarna finance

Spread the cost of a full renovation with Klarna, ask for options with your quote.

Cleaner site, cleaner finish

Dust sheets, floor protection, daily clean-down. Your home is still lived in, we respect that.

The detail

Depth, not filler.

What a real fixed-price bathroom install includes, and where cheap quotes cut corners you'll pay for later.

Strip-out & making good

Sanitaryware out, tiles off, waste and supplies capped, floor checked for rot around the WC and bath waste. Skips and disposal included.

First-fix plumbing

Waste re-runs where the new layout requires, shower valves back-plated properly for tile grid, isolators on every supply, pressure-tested before tiling.

Electrics (Part P)

Isolator swaps, extractor fans on humidistat, LED downlighter arrays, shaver sockets in correct zones, thermostat wiring for underfloor heating, all with certification.

Underfloor heating (electric)

Loose-wire matting under tile with sensor and thermostat, appropriate for stone/porcelain tile in Cotswold cottages and modern builds alike.

Plastering & prep

Sanded and skimmed to a tile-ready flat finish; tanking on shower walls; primer coats where required for the substrate.

Tiling & waterproofing

Full wet-wall tanking behind shower areas, correct adhesive for tile weight and format, straight cuts, tight silicone joints, cleaned grout.

Sanitaryware & second-fix

WC, basin, bath, shower valve, taps, radiator/heated towel rail, mirror lighting, accessories. Everything levelled, everything sealed.

Snag & clean

Silicone perimeter, mirror hung level, extractor tested, hot water balanced, every waste run tested with water. House vacuumed.

FAQs

Straight answers.

How much does a bathroom renovation cost?

Every bathroom is priced individually, there's no meaningful average, because layout changes, tile spec and underfloor heating all move the number. What we do promise: a free pre-visit, then one fixed price agreed upfront with no hidden costs.

How long does it take?

A typical family bathroom is 2–3 weeks from strip-out to final handover. En-suites are often quicker. We give you a day-by-day programme in the quote.

Do I buy the suite or do you?

Either works. We're happy to supply, we're happy for you to buy from a specific showroom, we'll advise on quality so you don't end up with cheap chrome that flakes in a year.

Do you handle the tiles and electrics too?

Yes. That's the whole point of our model, one team covers plumbing, tiling, plastering and Part P electrics.

Can you move the bathroom layout?

Yes, within reason. Moving the soil stack is a bigger job than shifting the basin. We'll tell you honestly in the pre-visit what's practical and what's cost-effective.

Do you offer finance?

Yes, Klarna is available on bathroom renovations. We'll walk through options in your quote.

Is there a deposit?

Yes, on scheduled projects, the exact percentage depends on scope and is confirmed in the quote. Balance is staged through the project.

What cover do I get?

Every product we supply carries its own manufacturer warranty, registered and passed on to you. Everything is tested and signed off with you before we leave.

Can you handle a stone-walled cottage bathroom?

Yes, very common across the Cotswolds. Uneven walls, awkward waste routes and low ceilings are what we do.
